Mustard Drenched Chicken1How to Make Mustard-Drenched Chicken

 

1 tbsp ground mustard seeds

2 tbsp water

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/8 tsp black pepper

2 1/2 lb Chicken

2tbsp vegetable oil

2tbsp minced fresh ginger

2 tbsp minced garlic

2 green chili finely chopped

1/4 cup water

3/4 lb potatoes cut into 2 inch cubes

1/2 tsp salt

 

Method

1. Combine mustard paste.turmeric ,and blackpepper in a bowl. Add chicken pieces and toss to

make sure each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.

 

2. Heat oil in a deep pan in over medium heat low heat. Add ginger,ginger and green chili then

fry for a minute. Add chicken and fry until chicken turns opaque, add water and lower the heat

slightly simmer, covered cook for 10 minutes.

 

3. Add potatoes,simmer covered,until both chicken  and potatoes are  tender an additional

20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding some water if need so .

 

4. Add salt and mix well .Remove from the heat . Let stand covered for a few minutes.Serve pipping hot.
