| Smoked Sausage and Sauerkraut |

Serves 4
1 pound smoked sausage 1 can sauerkraut 1 tablespoon cooking oil ½ pint water 1 potato, grated 1 carrot, grated Pinch salt 1/3 cup sugar 2 onions, chopped
Heat oil in skillet and fry chopped onions; add sauerkraut and simmer for 2 minutes. Add water and sausage; cook until done. Add grated potato, salt, sugar, and grated carrot. Cook 4-5 additional minutes.
