Fiery Potatoes

How to Make Fiery Potatoes


4 tbsp coconut oil

1/2 tsp black mustard seeds

1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds

1 tbsp peeled ,minced fresh ginger

2 tsp chopped fresh green chili

1/2 tsp turmeric

Salt to taste

1/2 tsp ground red chili

1 kg peeled boiled potatoes cut into medium cubes,

1/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut, ground in a blender to a coarse powder

1/2 tsp sugar

2 tbsp finely chopped fresh cilantro




1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium low heat. Add mustard seeds. When popping ,add fenugreek

   ginger,green chili,and turmeric and fry for about 1 minute, stirring often. Keep the skillet

   partially covered to prevent the mustard seeds from frying out.


2. Add salt ,red pepper,and potatoes and fry for a minute or so ,stirring constantly .Turn heat to

   low.Add coconut and cilantro and mix well. Remove from heat. Serve hot or at room temperature.
