400g/12 oz chicken- cut into pieces1 green cardamom4 tbsp oil2 onion – finely chopped1 tsp peppercorns Pounded coarsely to a rough powder ½ cup milk Paste 5-6 cashewnuts – copped½ cup yogurt1 tsp chopped ginger1 tbsp chopped garlic ½ tsp red chilli powder1 tsp salt½ tsp garam masala powder Grind all ingredients of the paste to a very smooth paste to a very smooth paste in the mixer. Put oil, cardamom pod and the chopped onions in a micro proof dish. Mix well and microwave for 8 minutes. Add the chicken pieces and yogurt-cashew paste, mix well and microwave for 8 minutes. Add ½ cup milk and 1 cup water. Mix. Sprinkle ¾ tsp freshly crushed peppercorns. Microwave for 6 minutes without covering it. Stir once in between. Check the chicken for doneness after giving it 5 minutes of standing time. Sprinkle some crushed peppercorn and serve hot.
