Creamy Shrimp

Shrimp     How To Make Creamy Shrimp Curry


1 Lb peeled and cook

1 tsp chopped ginger

3 Cloves garlic chopped

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 Small onion finely chopped

4 tbsp mustard oil

2 Bay leaf

1/2 tsp hot chilli powder

1 Cup coconut milk

Pinch of Garam masala

Pinch of mild chilli powder

Salt to taste


1 .  Sprinkle the  salt and turmeric on the shrimp and set aside


2 .  Make a paste by using the blender , ginger,garlic and onion


3 .  Heat the oil in the large heavy based pan and dip in the shrimp, fry about 5-6 minutes.

remove and set aside

4 .  Place the Bay leaf in the pan and allow it to sizzle, and the ginger paste and fry for 5-6 minutes.

Mix hot chilli  powder and stir well in the fried shrimp, followed by the coconut milk and cook

about   a minute.


5 .  Add garam masala and remove from heat. If you wish to have more sauce add some water with the

Coconut  milk and gently simmer about 4-5 minutes.


6 .  Garnish with mild chilli powder.
