Cream Cheese Pastry

 Cream Cheese Pastry

½ cup butter

½ tsp salt

½ cup creamed cottage cheese

2 cups self-raising flour


Beat butter and cheese and salt till light and creamy.  Add flour and mix roughly with hands.  Put dough inside plastic bag, chill for 1 hour, and roll to thickness required.  Use for savoury pies etc., or cut in fancy shapes with dainty cutters. 


Brush top with egg yolk and bake in 400°F (200°C) oven for 10 minutes.
