Cauliflower Masala PoriyalHow to Make Cauliflower Masala Poriyal

3 tbsp coconut oil

2 small cinnamon stick

1/1/2 tsp black mustard seeds

3 tsp urad dal

1 small onion chopped

1 small tomato,cut into small chunks

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp cayenne powder

1/2 cup tomato sauce

1 tsp salt

3 cups cauliflower ,cut into small chunks

3 tsp coconut powder

 

Method:

1. Heat coconut oil in a skillet or wok over medium heat.When oil is hot,add cinnamon stick,mustard

and urad dal.Fry covered,until mustard seeds are burst and urad dal get golden brown

 

2. Add onion and tomatoes and fry 1 minute over medium heat.

 

3. Add turmeric powder and cayenne powder. Stir well over medium heat for a minute. Add tomato

sauce and salt.Mix well to obtain a thick paste like consistency.

 

4. Add cauliflower chunks and blend carefully with sauce. Cover and cook over medium heat for

3 minutes.

 

5. Stir in coconut powder. Continue cooking until cauliflower just tender, stirring occasionally. Do

not overcook
