2 cups Sugar
1½ cup Milk
½ tsp Cardamom powder
Cashew and Raisins for Garnishing
Food colour a pinch
Clean apple, remove the skin and blend it with ½ cup milk in a blender and extract the juice. In a pan roast sooji till the raw smell disappears with 1 tsp ghee. Keep aside.
In the same pan, add 1 cup of milk and 2 cups of water and bring it to boil. When it boils, add the sooji and stir well without lumps. When it started to cook add sugar and let it melts.
After 5 min of boiling add apple juice and dissolve food colour in a tsp of milk and add to that an bring to thick consistency.
Add 2 tbsp of ghee. Stir well when it becomes thick. It should not stick to the bottom of the pan. That is the good consistency, add cardamom powder. Transfer to serving bowl and garnish with raisins and cashews. Serve it hot.
Note: you can replace Mango for apple.
